Winter Mountaineering
Kessler is approaching the Chicago Ridge in the southern Gore Range in Colorado on February 19. In the past two days, Kessler and I climbed over the top of 11,725 foot (3574 meters) Taylor Hill towards the Chicago Ridge. We were going to climb a 12,714 foot (3875 meters) highpoint of the Chicago Ridge as well, but the weather deteriorated. This photo of Kessler was taken just before the weather deteriorated. Notice that part of his face mask is blowing sideways.

See the 2011 Trip Log for details.
