Approach
The trail starts from St. Magdalena skilift station. You can park your car near the Taschluss hutte.
Route Description
Follow the skilift till the end, then turn to the left following the indications for the Ascht Alm.
You walk along a large mountain road in the wood. Just after the Ascht Alm you have to turn to the right, a steeper trail conducts you in the wide plane with many Alms named Pfinn Valley.
Now you have to stay a little bit on the left side of the vallley reaching a saddle between Karbacher Berg and Hoher Mann. Now turn to the right ascending the arete till the summit.
Difference in height from the car: 1200m
Total time: 3 - 4 hrs.
Descend on the same way.
Essential Gear
Normal ski mountaineering gear.
Crampons could be useful for the terminal arete, sometimes is windy and with ice and no snow so you have to leave the ski on the saddle and reach the summit by foot.
