Winter view from South Sister

In the background is Charleston Peak, with clouds, from an approaching front, blowing over the top. The steep talus (now covered with snow) chute was slippery enough to require crampons and ax. Fortunately, the final class 3 chute was mostly dry. This mountain feels like a real peak, as the top is a fairly thin rocky ridge with big drops on either side.
