Enjoyed this "extra credit" since the weather was good. Ran down to the car at the Herman Gulch TH.

Woods Mountain Cross-country Route
Hiked to the west end of Upper Urad Reservoir, the went off-trail climbing up moderately steep mountainside. Passed some snowfields. Drank water from melting snow. Beautiful day. On the descent, I couldn't find the route I ascended, so I went down a steep route that eventually led to a gully of loose rock. On the way, I was cliffed off once. Had a little scare at the edge of a precipice. I made it back to the lake a little after sunset. Happy trails.
Up Woods via Watrous Gulch Trail, traverse to Machebeuf, down Herman Lake Trail.

windy hike
From Herman TH, not much snow at all, easy hiking, strong wind, went up Parnassus, onto Bard, then continued to Robeson, retraced back and returned (had to rehike Bard and Parnassus) over Woods and Machebeuf. Easy bushwasck back down to the trail.

Watrous Gulch
Amazing blue sky day with the dogs! Cold as heck up top but warm and sunny below 12k or so. Scary dry in the high country, though. With Mikey plus Logan, Jackson and Gabby. Great day!

Ruby Creek Mega-Traverse
Meetup.com hike with Leonard, his dog, Maya & Bernice. This was the last of the five peaks we climbed this day. It was my second time on Woods this year, and third overall. We saw no other hikers, it looked like they were going to Parnassus. We took one last break and then headed down over Point 12730 and back into Ruby Creek. My legs and feet were pissed off, which means it was a very good day for hiking.
CMC Ararat training hike. This was second time on Woods. There were 4 of us. It started out a little cloudy, but then the sun came out and it turned out to be a glorious day in the mountain. We headed over to Machebeuf afterward.
Afterwards ascended Mt Machebeuf (12,805') before descending Watrous Gulch.

Came up Watrous Gulch to saddle with Parnassus. Barely had time to tag the summit before weather started to come in. Did this with Deb.

Bard, Parnassus, Woods and Machebeuf
Started from Herman Gulch, wrapped around Parnassus and up the SW slopes of Bard. Followed the ridge on over Parnassus, over to Woods, over to Machebeuf, then bushwhacked back down to the Watrous Gulch/Bard Trail Intersection. Nice loop, easy terrain.

Post-partum hike 2
Second hike at altidude since having my baby and it was a butt-kicker because of all of the snow! We should have had snowshoes! Tons of post-holing after the trail ended. We bailed around 12,300. Next time I go for this one, I am going to add Parnassus.

Watrous Gulch Loop
Rkymtn and I headed up Woods from UN 12,805 en route to Parnassus. An excellent outing overall. We made quick work of the loop and avoided the afternoon storms.
