Swiss Cheese Rock!It sure looks like fun to me.
If the rock is crumbly how do you protect the climb? What do you use for anchors on top?

That can't be sandstone ...Looks like "welded tuff," or some kind of
limestone. Demands further observation & study!
How far is this from "The Wickiup" formation???

Re: That can't be sandstone ...Not sure if you are joking (not sure because it's April 1)? It is sandstone; Wingate Sandstone to be more precise. It commonly looks like the above. See other photos of the Wingate Sandstone (notice the crossbedding):

Navajo Sandstone often does the same thing. This one is a good example, with holey rock below and smooth rock above:

Such formations are called huecos or solution holes:
Hueco wall
They are extremely common in the Wingate and Navajo sandstones, especially in places like the Swell. Sometime the holes are big enough to form fairly large arches, such as the Colonnade Arch in Labyrinth Canyon area (Twomile Canyon). See photos:
