Re: Nice fence thereYea its just stone, it runs from the top of Rhinog Fach and all the way across Y Llethr, along Crib-y-Rhiw, and accross the summit of Diffwys. Quite an achievement I'd say.

why?it seems as though the wall isn't high enough to keep animals in or out. What purpose was it to serve? Nice pic though!

Re: why?Hi there, it might not look it but its about 6ft in height, and you'd have to be a damn big animanl to be able to jump it. Originaly it probably wasn't built to control animals, as they're left to roam pretty much anywhere they want, but to mark the boundaries of two large estates. There's nothing that says keep off my land quite like a great big stone wall!
