Y Llethr from Rhinog Fach | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
We'd walked from Cadair Idris, across the Mawddwch Estuary and over Diffwys and Y Llethr in one day. After pitching the tent next to Llyn Hywel and eating a well earned hot meal we quickly climbed Rhinog Fach and, for a short space of time, the clouds cleared and we enjoyed the only bit of sunshine all day. Hasn't voted | Yea its just stone, it runs from the top of Rhinog Fach and all the way across Y Llethr, along Crib-y-Rhiw, and accross the summit of Diffwys. Quite an achievement I'd say. | | Posted Apr 26, 2007 7:13 pm |

Voted 10/10 | It's amazing that anyone could build something like that, especially on a mountain! | | Posted Jun 26, 2007 11:17 am |

Hasn't voted | Yes its a really impressive feat, espacially considering it would have been built by a handful of farmers. | | Posted Jun 28, 2007 6:57 pm |

Hasn't voted | it seems as though the wall isn't high enough to keep animals in or out. What purpose was it to serve? Nice pic though! | | Posted Sep 14, 2007 6:34 am |

Hasn't voted | Hi there, it might not look it but its about 6ft in height, and you'd have to be a damn big animanl to be able to jump it. Originaly it probably wasn't built to control animals, as they're left to roam pretty much anywhere they want, but to mark the boundaries of two large estates. There's nothing that says keep off my land quite like a great big stone wall! | | Posted Sep 14, 2007 6:49 am |
