Yellow Aster Butte

A good look at the final approach to the true North summit of Yellow Aster Butte. Stay to the left of the ridge top. The first set of trees can be bypassed on the right. Go directly through the second set of trees and then some easy scrambling around to the backside of the peak and then to the summit. Don't remember it being any more difficult than Class 2. Exposure is pretty moderate - except on the summit proper, where there is room for one person only. Mount Baker Scenic Byway August 25, 2013
