Yellow Pea

The Yellow pea (Thermopsis montana) is common in the Rocky Mountains. It is sometimes called False Lupine. The plants are suspected of being poisonous, despite a bean-like appearance. This particular one was located near Baldy Town, Philmont Scout Ranch, NM. Imaged in June 2005.
