PanamaRedFirst time in Yosemite  Sucess!

Had some successes and some failures and learned a lot. I took a 50 foot fall while practicing aid climbing on the first pitch of Pacific Ocean Wall. Thankfully I was not hurt, just a bit shook up. I had 4 pieces blow on me and though I was going to die. Watch out for those yellow c3s!!! I put way too much faith in them. We ended up getting booted out of camp 4 when the park shut down. Met alot of cool people from all over the world.

Camped at Camp 4 as a teen, when slack lines were made of chain. I've returned to the park many, many times over the years, both to the Valley and the high country - solo, with friends, with siblings, and with the wife. One of the true natural wonders of the Earth.

We visited the day after summiting Mt Whitney. It was my first trip to Yosemite, and an enjoyable one. Unfortunately, we set aside 2 full days to be there, but the roads were closed on day 2, due to the fires burning out of control in the west side of the park. Another place that i will return to one day!

Done practically all the possible hikes, except for "4 mile trail" couldn't bloody find the beginning of it!! Being from orienteering family, I always blame the inaccuracy of the map :D:D:D

Used to climb here all the time; favorite were the domes and crags at Tuolumne Meadows.
