Yours truly arriving at the summit, celebrating the completion of Washington's county highpoints in my birth county of Chelan. Photo by Joel Mickelwait. July 15, 2004. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | Klenke | With another County Highpoint... | |
Voted 10/10 | ...you've done under your right elbow (i.e., Mt. Buckner).
After showing such excitement on an exposed summit, a man that happy should watch his step for 15 minutes. | | Posted Aug 3, 2004 2:33 am |

Hasn't voted | Indeed, Buckner under my right elbow, and yet unclimbed (by me) Goode under the left. Believe me, I'd been watching my step for 8 hours, and would for the following 6 hours as well. But I was excited, I must admit. | | Posted Aug 3, 2004 3:26 am |

Voted 10/10 | Good job! How many county highpoints are there in Washington? Having taken a certain interest in doing the ones in California (there are 56 here), I'm curious about the effort required in other states (particularly in the W). Congratulations! | | Posted Jan 19, 2005 2:03 am |

Hasn't voted | Washington has only 39 counties, but 7 of them are in the list of 20 toughest county highpoints in the 48 states, the "Apex counties", (more than any other state), and 11 of the climbs have total elevation gains of over 5000 feet (also most of any other state of the 48). So Washington is no pushover. C'mon up! | | Posted Jan 19, 2005 10:40 am |
| Gene | Happy? | | Hasn't voted | You look like you just won the lottery. The expression on your face reflects how much you and all of us love the hills. | | Posted Jan 19, 2005 2:50 pm |

Hasn't voted | You've got that right Gene! But I must admit that winning the lottery would be all that much better - I'd be out there lovin' the hills a whole lot more if I didn't have to work! -Bob | | Posted Jan 19, 2005 3:19 pm |
| Josh Lewis | Awesome! | |
Voted 10/10 | Looks like you had an amazing time! I would like to go up there this year myself. Congrats! | | Posted Feb 13, 2011 4:51 pm |

Hasn't voted | Nice to see you back at SP! Are you going to let Craig W. and/or others influence you to work on the county highpoints? How about the P2Ks? Bulgers? Yeah, Bonanza was a great climb! Did you see the article in my local paper? | | Posted Feb 13, 2011 9:49 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Perhaps, that depends on where I go. For the time being even though I'm technically a "Peak Bagger" I am more into the adventure. Lately I've caught an interest in going up peaks that have been rarely climbed. As for the article, looks good! Good luck on your Mount Spickard trip.
Cheers Josh Lewis. | | Posted Feb 13, 2011 10:02 pm |
