Zephyr Anglewing camouflaged

Zephyr Anglewing camouflaged

Angled-winged Butterflies have sharply angled and irregular wings. When the wings are folded at rest, the drab undersides resemble leaves or bark, which makes them difficult to spot. Their uppersides are much brighter, usually in the shades of orange, rust and brown. Spotted in Hummingbird Hollow Canyon below Fletcher Peak. Spring Mountains, Nevada. May 2007.
