Thanks Vid! I already thought you would say something like this. As far as I understand Josh we'll need the group pages anyway in SPv2 and from my/our standpoint they are really necessary. Just think of this: My girlfriend doesn't look at pictures on summitpost since she doesn't know where she should look. If you don't know the name of a mountain or are only interested in pictures from a certain area you're lost today.
I guess I'll have to work on the Italian names. Somehow it is not enough to call them Zillertal Alps when in Italy, in which half of the group lies, they are called differently.
Hem, You got me there. Quite obviously it is the valley of the Ziller River / Creek. But I'm quite sure there is no meaning to the name itself. Why do people call the Rhine River the Rhine River? Or the Thames, or whatever?
Which brings out my philosophical mood - but I wanted to spare that for the next troll accusations on P & P...
hehehe... don't worry about that. We all forget sometimes to vote on some pages, i also forgoten to vote on many your pages, because i was focused on work on my pages. One day i will go through all of your pages, hehe...
I really respect your great devotion to the mountains!
Gangolf, now i see more one beautiful large panorama on this page. It's new? I think that last time when i voted i don't saw it. It's very beautiful, amazing peaks under nice white snow!

Yes, Viktor found another panorama in his cupboard. I'll have to find out from where he took it so that I can identify the summits.
Thanks Sasha! You are right that this shoud be the favourite group in Austria. The summits are so very remote - you need to plan your trips VERY well but are rewarded with great views and as much solitude as you can get in the Alps...

Untitled CommentGreat, Gangolf! Zillertal Alps group was really missing. And you're not one of those who wait to see what will SP2 bring :-)

Untitled CommentJust when I think there could be no more of the Alps to show, Gangolf brings forward another gem.
Zillertal? What's that mean? "Really tall?"
"Exzillerating?"
You know our member numbers are fairly close: 1798 vs. 17948.
