I loved the scrambling on this mountain! Given that you don't have the same problems on the descent as with Vestal, this may be the most fun of the bunch.
Solo climb via NE Ramp route from camp at Beaver Ponds in Elk Creek drainage. Continued on to climb Trinity. Nice solid rock, enjoyable scrambling, gorgeous summit views.

Great quartzite rock
Smoky though. Went up with Josh...12 day trek was foiled by fires.

Good views but Smokey
We originally were going to do a 12 day trek though the area, but unfortunately we got smoked out due to the forest fires in the area. This peak would have been a lot easier if I hadn't brought 12 days worth of food and such.
Solo. Left meadow campsite (11,400) at 6:15am, summit at 7:30am. Slight route alterations due to snow. Post-climb shower in the waterfall at the meadow. A memorable morning.
Mid July 2010 - I climbed Wham ridge on such a perfect day, that Arrow wouldn't let me go back to camp until I climbed it too. I took the wrong ramp and ended up doing some low class 5 scrambling, but the rock was so solid that I couldn't resist.

ne ramp
Did standard n.e. ramp after Wham Ridge on Vestal. Awesome day of scrambling! See TR.
1st: 8/8/09 - Climbed the NE Ramp/Rib route with Jamie after Wham Ridge, beautifully clear day (rare in "monsoon season") allowed us to do both. This route was a lot of fun, we ascended directly on the ridge between the two summits which was a little harder than the standard ledges used for the summit pitch. Really nice climb on a great peak, a classic scramble!
2nd: 9/10/21 - With Scot after Wham on Vestal.

afternoon on the rib
climbed arrow's infamous ramp with mike after a long, technical climb up the center shift route on vestal's wham ridge. the afternoon sun was glaring right in our faces the entire time giving the climb a surreal feeling. what a memorable day!

NE faceClimbed the ramp from a low camp at the beaver pond near Elk Creek - it was indeed classic! Afterwards I went up the south slopes of Vestal.

long run/hikeA day hike from Molas Lake, NE ramp, alone, tons of fun, expected more technicalities, but it was surprisingly very easy, left Duchess at home.
