Smoky not Cloudy
Stashed the packs at Cloudy Pass after our morning hike on day 2 of 5, from our campsite below Spider Glacier/above Lyman Lake.
Getting very close to the summit was straightforward, getting on top of the summit block was too risky, as advertised; yet high enough to claim "success" in my book. Smoke in the air obscured otherwise spectacular views. Worth the extra time to do this side hike. Back at the pass, we were ultra low on water, and found an easy water source just below the pass, as we continued on to Lady Camp for the night.

North Star, Miners Ridge, Plummer, Cloudy
This peak is actually a bit gnarly at the top. I scrambled up a terrible loose exposed gully to the summit and then found a chimney to down-climb.
Day 1: Phelps Creek, over Spider Gap, down to Lyman Lakes, up to Cloudy Pass, traverse around Cloudy Peak to climb North Star, the back to Cloudy Pass and Down to Suattle Pass to camp.
Day 2: Suattle Pass camp over to Image Lake to meet large party at Miners Ridge lookout celebrating the second completion of the WA Lookout list, back to Image Lake and run the ridge up Plummer Mountain, then traverse the Ridge back to Miners Ridge high Point, camp at Image Lake.
Day 3: Back over Suattle and Cloudy Pass, climb Cloudy Peak, and the back down to Lyman Lakes and up over Spider Gap back to Phelps Creek trailhead.

Worth the extra effort
If you tend to stick to trails and find yourself at Cloudy Pass...this peak is well worth the extra effort. Superb views await (as long as it isn't "cloudy")
