Torrential weather
Drove over there today from Dayton in ridiculous driving rain. If you didn't know ahead, you would never find it as all the signs are missing. Got pretty wet but another one marked off the list.

Eighth highpoint! Love the road to the point, almost thought I was going to go airborne a few times!

Easy to find. Road sign at actual HP missing as well as actual 'summit' sign. It's just a wooden post with the name and elevation written in pen.

HP#6
Just drove from Ohio's HP. I was disappointed that the sign was missing at the actual HP. The bugs were bad. Next HP will be Black MTN in Kentucky.

First high point of my summer road trip!
Tons of bugs and not a good view. The road driving from it was a fun experience though!

HP #10
We accidently went here instead of OH's first. We were then attacked by killer flying bugs. we barely made it out alive. 1st of 10 HP's of the trip
Got eaten up by the highest mosquito's in Indiana and saw some huge corn. Good job of working with what you've got Indiana and making the Highpoint a nice little place too.

Hoosier was my 3rd highpoint for this trip, and first of the day. I had planned to do 3 more this day, but only got Ohio's and West Virginia's - Maryland's would have to wait until the next day.
Nothing terribly exciting about Hoosier Hill - just a wooded lot next to a corn or bean field. Certainly no vast vistas.

Hoosier boy on top
I grew up in Indiana, but never visited Hoosier Hill until this past Xmas. I went with my dad and nephew and got Campbell Hill as well. Luckily, we all made it to the "summit" -- having used all our strength and stamina to withstand the brutal forces of nature working against us for that ~20 yard walk from the car.

Not much to write home about at the top of the Hoosier state but I enjoyed getting to do the HP for the state that I lived in for 4 years while at college. An Eagle scout did a lot of work to clean up this HP. The fence & stile are now gone and there is even a little loop trail that goes through the woods.

Before it had a name!
In 1985, no one would have thought to call this a hill!!! No signs, no marker, no trail, no guidebook. But my daughter and I had started our highpoint quest, and so we drove to farm, and walked out to the unmarked spot after taking our pictures next to the road-side survey marker across the road to the SSE. This was SHP #5 of my 49 state high points.

Directions on this website are incorrect. HP is 0.93 miles N of Bethel Rd and about 0.3 mile S of County Line Rd. No signs exist except one on County Line Rd. Bat nest falling down. Site itself is fine.

HP #2, I Think
I (with my wife (Tracy) and son (Alex), then almost 2 yrs old) did this as part of our first family HP trip.
On 11 Aug 2008, I revisited with my son (now 8) and my daughter (Gabriella), 4 - it's a nice place, though there were some big flies around. No view, of course, since it's in woods. I noticed immediately that the fence and stile are gone.
