Climbed via the popular Royal Flush, which I found to be a TERRIBLE route. Lots of hiking and easy terrain, bolts everywhere. The little bit of technical climbing wasn't even fun.

Royal Mountain
September 8 2017
After work, I climbed Mount Royal. It was a nice hike and there were more people than there usually were on the trail in the evening. I went out to Point 10,385 as well. It rained a little on the way back, but the weather was mostly good.
July 26 2017
After a 13 hour workday, I decided to climb Mount Royal. About half way up I saw a bear. I held still and it looked at me for a few seconds, but as soon as I reached for the camera, it took off into the bushes, so I never got a picture. It was pretty neat.
After that, I headed up the mountain and reached the summit after sunset. I came down in the dark, which wasn't the best idea since I left the headlamp at home, but I need the exercise! It was a challenging descent in the dark since it was cloudy and there weren't even any stars.
September 9 2016
I took another evening hike to the summit of Mount Royal. I started early enough to make it to the top before sunset and without pushing too hard. The weather was perfect and it was a good hike.
August 30 2016
I took another hike to the summit of Royal Mountain. The weather was good on the mountain, but it was raining to the west and there was a nice double rainbow visible for much of the hike.
August 29 2016
It rained part of the day, but it cleared enough by evening that I took a hike up Royal Mountain, returning just before dark.
August 25 2016
I climbed Royal Mountain in the evening yet again. The weather was good when I started, but when I reached the top just after 7 PM, the weather quickly changed and the snow was coming down sideways and very hard! It was a really wet snow and I did get wet. There was some lightning on the descent as well.
August 24 2016
It rained and snowed most of the day, but by evening it finally cleared. I decided to climb Royal Mountain. I only made it 1/3 of the way before sunset, but I continued up the mountain reaching the summit just before it got really dark. There were some nice views along the way. I hiked back down in the dark.
August 19 2016
After work, I walked half way up Mount Royal before deciding to stop and head back down. I had to work late so I didn't start until near sunset and I was tired.
August 11 2016
After work, I climbed Mount Royal in the evening, reaching the summit just after sunset. I came down in the dark.
July 29 2016
After work and dinner, I climbed Royal Mountain, reaching the summit after sunset. It was dark on the way down.
July 23 2016
After a 76 hour work week, I still needed to climb something after work and in the evening. I climbed Royal Mountain via its standard route from Frisco. It was a good hike, but I was a bit tired.
July 21 2016
In the evening, I made an attempt on Royal Mountain, but it started raining heavily just over half way up. I turned around at that point.

Steep first mountain
First time hiking in the Rockies. Steep climb kicked my rear but we made it before the thunderstorms chased us off the mountain.

Tenmile Traverse
9/19/10: vFirst point of a modified Tenmile Traverse, went to Peak 8 and dropped through the ski resort and took the bus back to my car in Frisco.
10/17/15: Royal to Peak 5, then back to Town on Miners Creek and Peaks trails, great way to get the best scrambling when solo or w/o a car shuttle.

With Victoria Peak
What a workout!! I am still trying to get back into the shape I was before I had my baby in April and some these hikes are butt-kickers!! This was a sweet suprise of a workout! Fall colors were prime as well.
Very fun, relaxing 10 pitch 5.8 sport climb on the north face. The pitches on the headwall had great movement. Kind of reminded me of Yosemite and the Gunks at the same time. Very nice.

First Mountain Summit
Guessing on the exact date of the hike, just remember it was during that July while out in CO (where I now live) on a family vacation when I was in high school. My brother and I made the trip up with no fuss and rather quickly, but my idea of a "shortcut" turned into a two-hour bushwhacking slog on the way down. :)
