A (large) Fritillary on a Coast Range Hike

More than one kind of frilillary erupts in coast range meadows, balds and disturbed areas in late summer. I can't specifically identify this one any closer.

Upon posting to the unidentified album

My guess is that this is either a Great Spangled Fritillary (Speyeria cybele) or a Zerene Fritillary (S. zerene). I come to these suggestions by eliminating all other large as not likely to be here in Clatsop County. See:

This is for wildlife id kind of like being top-roped while taking drugs for acrophobia--not the way it should be done.
