Exotic-- esp. for Idaho!

Exotic pic-- it looks like Fred is fighting his way up a big Alaskan peak, rather than 'lil 'ol Stevens!

Hi Sharon. Thanks for the vote. That little cornice made the trip. It's nice to have an interesting conclusion to the summit adventure.

Cheers,

Martin

What a cool shot. Nice to have an action pic posted once in awhile that has a little drama.

Oh oh, so that's what happened to Fred, Martin had to cut the rope.

Re: Exotic-- esp. for Idaho!

Ok, here is my confession for the day. Fred saw me trying to get a good picture of him swinging away at the cornice, so he held his axe there for a second.

Didn't bring or need a rope, nothing steeper than about 35+ degrees, with the exception of the cornice.

Cornice bashing

I like this shot a lot - a real 'hero' shot.
Nice one !

Great shot

of another climber, beside myself, who still uses straight-shaft ice-axe. I don't feel so left behind now.
Thanks for the photo.
