Route Description

From Usselieres, follow unpaved road to Bezzi Hut(trail n. 12 - 2.284 m. - 1h45min): very long and boring ... From Bezzi Hut, take trail n. 12(a-b-c), when end the steep path (about a 2.486 m. - 2h30min) it begins a long traverse SSE direction. Trail is good until close to Punta Bassac Derè, then a big stoneyground have to be crossed to climb last steep meters for Bassac Derè pass (3.082 m. 4h30 min.). From about 2.800 meters it is possible to meet snow, it depends in mountain condition. For your safe, if you planned this route or the ring-trek, it is better to have crampons and ice-axe in your rucksack.
Once arrived at pass summit, go ahead (south direction) to climb large and easy North ridge. In early season (June), crampons and ice-axe could help for last meters (3.337m. 5h15min).
Difficulties could be only arriving at Bassac Derè pass: it depends on season and snow conditions. In early season troubles could rise.

Essential Gear

Alpin wear, crampons and ice-axe in early season or with snow on the trail.
