This is a view of Round Lake from the NCT. I was told that Round Lake is actually spring-fed and that many of the lakeside houses use it as their water supply with minimal purification needed. An interesting and surprising fact is that even though Lake Michigan is only a couple of miles away (at most), the water actually drains from here into Lake Huron! Essentially, the Lake Michigan dunes are the "continental divide" in this area.
