Re: the HogpenSorry I never saw your note. From Columbus go I-85 to Atlanta. Then GA 400 N until it ends. Go past the turn to go to Dahlonega and keep going straight for several miles. You'll have to look at a map to get specifics here. You'll come to a stop. Go right towards Cleveland. In Cleveland go around the square and head towards Route 75 and go straight. In a few miles you'll come to a spur 75 on the right that will take you to Helen. Go right. In a few more miles on the left will be Richard B Russell scenic byway (Route 348). Go left for about 8 miles to the top of Hogpen (about 3200 feet elevation). The road cut is across a large parking lot.
