A steep slide on the way up...

I've hiked Pitchoff twice so far, both times in late December, also both times as a ridge traverse, once in each direction. When I was there a couple weeks ago this pitch was a big ice waterfall covered with a thin layer of fresh light snow. It was very interesting climbing down this! I'll try to post a photo of this with ice on it soon - on of my companions took a nice shot of it.
