A view north down to Henrys...

A view north down to Henrys Fork Basin from the summit of Kings Peak. The (large) lake visible is Dollar Lake, about 2,800 ft below. The trail comes up through the long "meadow" left of center. It can be very boggy...especially in spring when lots of litle streams cut across the trail. You can bypass all that by staying in the trees on the east. June 2002.

boggyness

FYI- those "fields" can be boggy and muddy as long as the ground isn't frozen. Even late October is still muddy and tough to negotiate during the daytime if it hasn't snowed a lot yet.
