Ugh!

Sorry about the bad news at this part of your journey. I've had the "stuck rope on the rappel," but we got it "unstuck" and didn't have to cut it and leave it!

Yes, I've usually been lucky that way too, but this time the rope flew way to the left in the sunny rocks. In the cold wind in mountain boots it looked like 5.12 to get over there :D. Now that I think about it, maybe reclimbing to the top of the tower, and rigging another rappel that allowed us to hang over that face would have worked. But the huge previous day had taken it's toll...energy was low!
