Adam on the lookout

Adam on the deck of the lookout. The old deck boards (2x4s) were a bit creaky. I for one kept to striding over the gaps from one rafter board to the next. Pictured here is the SSW view toward Buck Mountain (with its own lookout) left of center and Granite Mountain (which used to have a lookout long ago) the high mountain at far right. We were atop Granite earlier in the day but, strangely, you cannot see Funk Mountain from Granite's summit due to a subsummit/ridge of Granite getting in the way. Funk is over 2000 feet lower than Granite. May 27, 2012.
