This photo was taken from the summit of Rocky Peak Ridge. We had no snow at 4300 feet except very small traces off the side of the trail. Based on what we saw on the high peaks, from this distance, there had to be at least 6 to 12 inches of fresh powder! Haystack left & Marcy right. The nub just below Marcy is Basin. To the right of Basin is Gothics with the slides. Oct, 08.

Awesome...

I just love this picture. Something about the sun-lit summit of Marcy, looks god-like. Great shot.

Thanks! The lighting was even better in person. It changed as the clouds raced above.
