You Wuss-LOL  Sucess!

I understand the part about your husbands surgery and having to park a hundred and fifty below the summit and take a leisurely stroll to the top, but what's your excuse? You should have at least started down at hwy 96 or something, like you're supposed to do. Earn your keep, girl..

I guess, I should have checked the site before I went up my near 13 grueling miles and 3300ft elevation gain via the Lewis Creek trail yesterday. I had planned on giving you a mercy Wet Mountain. But you beat me to it.

After 5 miles of trail, I hit the forest service road and followed it for another mile and a quarter to the west and found the parking lot. I'm really rusty at placing trip reports and such in this program, but if you promise to stay away from Lewis Creek for a while, I'll try and add the route and photos. It's a fairly nice spring/fall hike.

By the way, I strolled past Curley the previous two weeks. It beckons your name. If you go, the shortest route is the East Bear trail off Oak Creek Grade. Just under 3.5 miles one way. It's not a mammoth mountain, but the final approach will surely get you breathing a little harder than Adobe.

Willow Creek Route  Sucess!

This was a very short route, but as my husband is recovering from open-heart surgery, it was a very right-sized outting on a beautiful May day in southern Colorado.
