After ascending the SW Ridge,...
After ascending the SW Ridge, it's possible to descend on skis to the north. It's advisable to park a car at the (unmarked) turnout from HWY 88 for the dirt road to crater lake. We skied down the northeast ridge, then down the north east face down to crater lake.
