after the flood
Grinnell Point rises across an abnormally murky Swiftcurrent Lake. The lake, fed by two glaciated valleys, is normally crystal clear. However, the previous day a tremendous amount of rain fell in this area of the park. Large amounts of sediment spilled off the surrounding mountainsides, giving the lake a very different appearance.
