Ahh, what beauty... Flowers and massive mountains. Photo taken from near Burstall Pass. MSD dominates the background. "South Burstall Pass" is straight ahead, and the usual base for an attempt on MSD. On the right is a rotten 8300' ridge which provides spectacular views of MSD and to all points west. If you find yourself on a dayhike to Burstall Pass, I recommend spending a couple hours to climb to the top of this little ridge.
