Chambeyron group
Aiguille de Chambeyron is the highest Ubaye summit. This is the main summit of the southest part of the Alps, between Monviso and mediterranean sea. Aiguille is less known than Brec because it's more difficult to see it from Ubaye valley.
The mountain has 2 summits (the west one is the highest) ans is therefore sometimes named Les Aiguilles de Chambeyron.
The lower par of the mountain is made of triasic limestone but the summit is made of jurassic limestone (more solid).
On the north side of the mountain are 2 small and quite dead glacier : Chauvet Glacier and Marinet Glacier.
