Normal route on skis
Normal route from the Refuge des Mouflons. Lots of snow for a great descent! Highly recommended summit. Far more interesting than Toubkal.

via NNW ridge, winter, solo
Great climb, good weather and feeling of remoteness! Very deep snow below the west buttress. Perfect mountaineering day in High Atlas.

Even better than Toubkal
Me and 4 others climbed the easy NNW ridge route of Akioud with perfect conditions. Blue sky, relatively hard snow (and relatively not too much of it...about 40 cm in some parts), and almost no wind. High temperatures for the time of the year...about 0-2 degrees celsius. Very beautiful peak with excellent views over the whole Mizane valley, Toubkal, Ouanoukrim mountains (Ras, Timesguida, Afella, etc...), and Tazaghart Plateau. Alone during the whole hike.
Timing: 8:45 start. 9:20 valley Amrharas-n'Iglioua. 10:55 Tizi-n'Amrharas-n'Iglioua (with 40 minutes break at the valley). 11:55 summit (one our from the col).
