Hohlaubgrat
The next day after Strahlhorn we climbed with Kasia this nice ridge. As usual we had to wait on the narrow snowy ridge because of little traffic jam on rocky step II UIAA.Great weather and conditions, dry and warm rock. We descended via normal route ,took cable car to Felskin and hiked back to our ten. Descent to Saas Allmagel- the same day,or rather night ;)

Skitour from Saas-Fee
Even an easy mountain can be somewhat difficult. We started on skis from Saas-Fee and summited in pretty bad weather. Only people on the summit.

Normal Route
Climbed the normal route. Conditions were absolutely perfect. Upon seeing the conditions, we really wanted to try the NE Ridge but we only brought two screws and alpine axes.

Round trip in a few hours from the Metro Alpin. We where the only ones on the route that day.

Normal route
We had a ”simple” snow scramble from Mittel Allalin above Saas Fee, (August 23, 1991).
With Carlo and Fabietto, then to Crans Montana to Camilla and MArina. Very nice day!

Very nice route especially after doing the Strahlhorn normal route the day before (which was really just a long slog up and down the glacier).
The descent to Mittel Allalin presented some unbelievable situations passing the numerous tourists (including a man with his wife who had to ask us how to rope up... he 'forgot' how to make a figure of eight knot... there was also a man with his maybe 8year old son tied together, combined with some big enough crevasses to cross... we couldn't believe our eyes). Amazing that there aren't more accidents here...

Leading an alpine club youth group (JDAV).
Intended to climb the Hohlaubgrat, but the Britannia hut was booked out. Never seen so many "tourists" on a glacier, in jeans, without a rope. Sad.
