This Allegheny Hardwood forest type in northwest Pennsylvania is characterized by black cherry, sugar maple, red maple, black birch, yellow birch, beech and others. Photo was taken near Sugar Grove, PA. October 2003

Thanks. Yes, I had once made a note to do just that, but forgot. Hopefully I'll get around to it soon.

Why Pennsylvania? I lived there for a couple years is all. Was a pretty good time and I really enjoyed seeing a different landscape than what I was used to being a westerner.
