Had a one-day business travel layover in Munich... took the early train to Garmisch, managed to get on the right bus route and up the cable car, hiked the peak and back to Munich for late afternoon flight to Japan. Would love to get back here with more time on my hands...
I can't believe I missed signing this climber's log. I started the hike from outside Garmisch and hustled my butt to the klettersteig on the north side as thunder bellowed only miles away.

Climbed the Ferrata. Would have liked to have had a harness and lanyard. Really fun climb.

Cycled up to Osterfelderkopf from Garmisch-partenkirchen train station and ascended the north face ferrata to the top. Initially I inteded to descend the east slope but there where too many people so I decided to descend the ferrata as well. Great downhill from Osterfelderkopf back to Garmisch :)

Nice tripWe were forced to stop for almost 1 hour in the tunnel half way up due to thunder and lightning - scary with the via Ferrata cables

TraverseHiking up all the way from Garmisch-Partnekirchen train station. Ascending via Schöngänge and Oberkar and descending via the ferrata. Great day.
