Alternate ways up the first dryfall

Alternate ways up the first dryfall

If the rope is not present at the first climb-out (south of Juniper Canyon), there are two alternate paths, both class 4 or low class 5. At left (E) of the dryfall (left in this image), one can climb to a set of creepy, mossy ledges and then cut right (west). OR, at right (W) of the dryfall (right in this image) is a crack that seems very promising. Unfortunately, at the top of the crack is a near-vertical, 6' mossy wall. You can VERY CAREFULLY cimb directly up the wall, then drop a handline for your compadres; or if you are very sure of your shoes, you can cut left up very steep (50-70 degree) ramps to the top of the mossy wall.
