At almost 4900m, the Mirador de los volcanos is the highest point on the road between Arequipa and Chivay and everybody stops to have a look around. The most impressive views are towards the west, where the three big volcanoes of Ampato (6288m), Sabancaya (5976m) and Hualca Hualca (6025m) dominate the skyline. 24 May 2011.
