Route Climbed: Atxarte- Alluitz- Anboto- Asuntze- Atxarte  Sucess!

Very beautiful route, the "paso del diablo" more easy that I thought.
Sunny day, but fog in the morning.
For me the more spectacular route that you can do in the basque country

I went up om a clear winter morning with another two climbers from the nearby village of Durango. We reached the top without any problem after scrambling a little bit just before the top. It went very easy. It was, technically spoken, a "winter climb", but a very easy and hot. A t-shirt was enough clothing for the upper body. We visited the cave of the witch of Amboto, called Mari.

Another day to the top, in the coldest day of the winter so far: 20/12/2009. Snow a lot from Urkiola already. A little bit dangerous (slippery snow conditions) on the final ridge. Done alone in two hours from Urkiola.

Route Climbed: Urkiola-Anboto-Alluitz-Urkiola  Sucess!

Impressive ridge from Anboto to Alluitz in a beautifull day. I was not knowing that this mountain had so spectacular ridges. Thanks to the friend IƱaki for the guide-support to our mountain group and the house to the eat in the descent . Unforgettable day.
