Easy hike up Momyer. Bagged Shields Peak afterwards.
4 day trip with Scouts hitting 7 peaks.
We were hoping to try the '9 Peaks' but only got two of them. My buddy Carl and I made it to the top of Anderson Peak and San Bernadino Peak East while it was snowing. We spent the night on the ridge. Fortunately we were prepared! It was amazing that it snowed at least 8" in 24 hours or so in May.
Climbed San Bernardino Peak, S. Bernardino Pk East, Anderson, Alto Diablo, Little Charlton, Jepson and Gorgonio over the Memorial Day weekend. Trip video here: http://youtu.be/-29-ObWUHMk
One of four summits in a day on the San Bernardino Ridge. (Sheilds, Anderson, East and San Berdo) Took a personal day off of work to do this as a training hike for my upcoming Rainier attempt. Joined by Chris, Iain, and Tom. Spent over 4 hours above 10,000'.
up via san bernardino peak divide trail, then san bernardino, san bernardino east, anderson, shields, alto diablo, charlton, little charlton, san gorgonio, jepson, little dobbs, dobbs, and then down dobbs' west ridge to vivian creek trail and out.
San Gorgonio Peak Traverse: #3
Third peak of five on my San Bernardino Mountain ridge traverse from Forsee Creek. Highest peak of the day with the most obstructed view. Beautiful, enjoyable hike! Cool, safe water flowing from Trail Fork Spring too.
Hike with solid elevation gain, views from the summit obscured by trees.
With brother Jon, via Forsee Creek
Had a great backpack up to Anderson Peak. I'm getting more used to sleeping in the wild. I spend less time being on "patrol" and keeping a look out for any intruders. Because of this, I spend more time sleeping than I used to. The peak was nice. I ALMOST caught a chipmunk. That would have been sweet.
Quick overnight trip with Sara and Harlan. Been to San G wilderness many times, but never up Forsee Creek. Will definitely return, great trail.
Hiked up from Forsee Creek TH.
Not into number coincidences but couldn't help thinking here ... did 3 10K peaks on 10/10/10
The third peak of a very enjoyable 5-peak tour including SB, SB East, Shields, & Alto Diablo.
I went up the Forsee Creek trail in the mid 1980's to the summit Anderson Peak. I don't think I passed any other hikers that day if I remember correctly. It is a fantastic view from the top, and a great trail to get there.
Looped w/ Shields on a misty, cloudy day.
Not only was there no snow but there were no pesky people around either...lol. Actually I love people, but neither were to be found.
Just Anderson this time.
