quite the contrast

amazing pics of your Angel's Landing snow ascent. Snow is everywhere in the west and of course, we can use it. Did you need ice axe and crampons for this trip up Angel's?

Re: quite the contrast

Thanks! It was a very fun day. I took an ice axe, but never needed it. I wore Kahtoolas right from the parking lot, but I could have probably done it without? They caked up quite a bit until I got to Scout Lookout where the snow was windswept a bit and drier. The snow was pretty deep and made kicking in quite comfortable. Just felt better to have that extra "bite" with crampons!

What a great photo....I've never seen Angel's Landing after a snowstorm.....I'm not sure if I missed hiking this with you or not!

Re: quite the contrast

It really was a great day last sunday. It's always hard to imagine that hiking in the snow could be enjoyable until you actually get out there and do it. I think you would have enjoyed being there. Thanks for your comment Kathy!
Cheers, Bo
