Standard route from Moose/Angel Lake. Clocked 9 miles on my GPS one way, but I took a slight detour halfway there. Dropped down to Fall Creek and got super lucky on the return. Found a legit game trail and eventually crossed the creek to the real trail on a huge log that spanned the creek.
Also got hit with a huge wind gust near left fork. Saw two trees fall! First for me.
Approached from Moose lake and then over to Angel Lake (what a gorgeous lake), then up the ridge to the summit. Shot down a gully directly towards Moose Lake rather than the tedious hike over to Angels Lake.
went up Angel's Perch via Moose Lake and Angel Lake. Being too lazy to climb back over the ridge to Moose Lake, I descended below Angel Lake to Fall Creek which was quite a bushwhack. Made for a full day of hiking. Angel Lake may be the most spectacular lake in Idaho. The view from Angel's Perch is quite good- I think Altair may be to most impressive peak from this vantage point.
Approached from Moose Lake. Went up north ridge above Angel Lake and climbed narrow towers to east ridge. Then easy Talus to summit. Spectacular views of Pioneers (full 360 pano). Came down loose, steep north face to benches, talus, snow, back to Moose Lake. Awesome!
Climbed with ID Summits group.
Climbed with 9 others on the IdahoSummits 2004 fall outing.
