Re: I want to

Lucky you!! We finally have some colder weather so ice might start forming now. Skiing in fresh heavy powder has been incredible tho.

Re: I want to

Lucky you skiing in fresh heavy powder watch for avalanches. Did contact your daughter will try to hook up with her and her boyfriend when the ice comes in a little thicker

That's great. I'm envious of you all. I've got my beacon and shovel and awesome new skis - windpacked crud now but sunny finally.

Admittedly

this is a nightmare of mine. Since moving out to CA in July, I solo hike often in puma country and although very unlikely, I worry about ambush! Scary and good shot.

Re: Admittedly

More than likely they will avoid you even if they are around sometimes you will not know it . On the picture of mine you will see some one did a forum on mountain lions which is very informitive . They are the ones who feel ambushed not you. It is very wise when hiking in ares where a puma encunter can happen keep children very close to you. Look at the picture of the mountain lion and click on the article , you should be able to get some good information about them
