Don't forget time change!  Sucess!

Showed up an hour early due to time change on the reservation. Kind of spendy but definitely worth it and the guides are really fun!

If you really want to appreciate it

then go after September. Too crowded to really enjoy a narrow canyon like that

Crowded but Beautiful  Sucess!

Even with all the crowds, the tour guides do a good job of ensuring everyone gets good photos. Our guide was Leon, a relative of some of the tour guide operators.

Antelope Canyon  Sucess!

I was hesitant about going to Antelope Canyon because of its popularity but I'm glad that I did. Even an average photographer like me can take good photos in this canyon.

Antelope  Sucess!

I had to see it to get it out of my system. Took the wife and kids too. It's just one of thousands of slot canyons in the area.

Very crowded and expensive, but worth seeing-once.

Amazingly Beautiful  Sucess!

04-09-2007: Upper Antelope Canyon
This one has been a long time dream since I discovered it on this website. My wife and I took the 2 hour tour. Busy, but gorgeous regardless.

04-10-2007: Lower Antelope Canyon
Did this one with my wife also, much less busier and if you hit it at the right time, the colors can be just as brilliant as Upper Antelope Canyon. I hiked through and photographed to my heart's content while my wife sat down and did some wonderful sketches.

Beautiful Light  Sucess!

Upon arrival in the canyon, as I was preparing to take a picture, I realized that I'd forgotten my tripod! :-( The only decent images in the canyon are taken with available light; a flash makes the rocks look plain and uninteresting. So, I braced myself on the rock and took the several second exposures multiple times (yes, on film!), hoping that a few would come out. While doing that two ladies came next to me, one pointing at the wall I was leaning against. And the other said, "Yes! It IS a black widow spider!" Anyway, a few of my images came out. --mark d.

One of my favorite places  Sucess!

I'm not sure of the first date I hiked through Antelope Canyon, but the experience I will never forget...
