This is a shot of the last 1 mile section of the Appalachian Trail leading up to the summit. I would estimate that winds were in the 50 mph range and were blowing dime size pieces of hail. My face was on fire from the stinging sensation of being pelted in the face for the majority of this sections. Visibility was minimal, I would estimate about 50 feet, if you saw anything beyond that it was a hallucination.
