Approach via East Plateau

The blue circle is the Sunset Picnic Area parking lot. The red line starts at an entrance to an old road (horseback/wildlife trail). The hike is a good 1.75 miles from the parking lot. At the base of the East Slope, follow the rim of a gully (dashed line) to a saddle ridge. The ridge leads up the (North) Center Peak. The climb to the Center Peak is a good class 2+.
