Approaching St. Bartholomä in the morning

Photo taken on April 15th, 2013 from the Königssee boat. The pinnacle rising above St. Bartholomä with it's famous baroque chapel is named Hachelwand.

Dramatic contrasts!

First the building by the glassy lake is dwarfed by the peak rising behind it. Then they are both easily transcended by the the big icey wall to the right!
What an idyllic scene.

Re: Dramatic contrasts!

Thanks, Windsor - I've been there already so many times, but it's just never the same! And that was a particularly glorious day for enjoying the contrasts!
Cheers,
Eric
