Approaching the Ice Arch in the 2nd Icefall on the Whitney Glacier

March 27, 2010 - Entering the 2nd Icefall on the Whitney Glacier. The ice arch loomed tall and inviting. Since Tom had already talked me into choosing a route through the heart of the icefall, I decided to continue with this spirit and 'thread' the arch. Photo by Tom Bennett
