Approaching the Sentinels

This is a picture of Sentinel Peak and Sentinel Tower. The majestic sentinels guard the entrance to the famous Wadi Qada'a. Sentinel Tower is home to eight trad routes; which are all about 12o meters. The Tower itself is over 200 meters tall from ground level. Getting to the routes takes about a 15 min hike/scramble up very steep, rocky and unstable terrain. Sentinel Peak is slightly higher then the tower. It is home to 3 trad routes. You can get to the routes via the ascent/descent gully the separates the peak and tower. The gully on the left or right side of the tower. This is the view of the tower and peak as you are approaching it from the road. The peak is on the left and the tower is on the right. Directly up the center is the left-hand ascent/descent gullies; one of the two gullies .
