Damn! I was hoping to put this one up eventually. Oh well, better you now than me later. Nice job.
Could use a bit more overview text as to why we care about Argentine. Also more photos. I've submitted a pair from a distance. Also, needs topo coords.
Edit: Looks good.
Thanks for the suggestions and photos. I'm working on it! Cheers!
Ditto what Charles said - even the part about poaching the mountain page ;-) I was up there just a couple of hours after you, but by mid-afternoon the storms had closed in and I didn't get out of the car to tag the summit as I had intended.
Sorry I missed ya. It was nice in the am. Thanks for the vote and comments. Cheers!
Good page, and I'm happy you dropped in the history link. I heard something about an enormous power line up there, does it reside anywhere around the standard route?
The power lines run parrallel to Leavenworth Creek and cross over the Wilcox-Argentine saddle and then the Argentine-Square Top saddle. You can see them in both the photos on the Wilcox page and on the very left in this photo of the standard route up Argentine.
Thanks for the vote. The power line through the valley is an eye sore.
Thanks for the vote.
Thanks for taking the time to vote.
