awesome report!

You really capture the spirit of this mountain here with your report. Nevado de Toluca / Xinantecatl isn't just a summit, it is a big old open eroding volcano a la Crater Lake / Volcan Mazama. It is an intriguing destination in itself with several sub peaks along the old crater wall, many worthy of exploration. As well as the crater itself with multiple lagoons, and the considerable caldera which dominates the middle. And the surrounding countryside is green, lush, and prosperous. I can't wait to make another trip here!

Pico de Humboldt

Kiefer,

The name of the peak is Pico de Humboldt. Arista de Humbolt is the pass between Aguila and Pico de Humboldt.

The elevation you have is also for the pass. The summit of Pico de Humboldt is just over 4480 meters.
